Visit Winchester, once capital of England, its fine Norman 11^th Century Cathedral, ancient school and quaint streets, the Hospital of St. Cross nearly 900 years old still offering Wayfarer's Dole.  On foot to explore the Rectory, City Bridge and Mill then the Mayors’ Abbey Gardens and England’s oldest City street. No taxes at Westgate these days! Then on to The Great Hall and King Arthur’s Round Table and stories of Camelot and brave Knights in shining armour. See what remains of the Castle, Oliver Cromwell to thank, his fight against the Royalists really took its toll.

At last the Cathedral, one of Europe’s most important churches architecturally and historically, enjoy a private guided tour inside and see the tomb of Jane Austen and the famous mortuary chest containing bones of Saxon Kings..
